Summary

The days when utilities would send a line crew to inspect a light or connect/disconnect a lighting service are long gone. The transition to smart lighting is well underway in North America, but it is more than the changeover to Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting technology. There are many intrinsic benefits to LED lighting, but the greatest impact occurs when implemented with a smart lighting system that leverages your existing AMI communication network. Join us for this 3-part webinar series where you will learn how to automate your lighting program through an AMI network.

In this live webinar, Danny Exum, Chief Information Officer for Wiregrass Electric Cooperative, will discuss Wiregrass’ plans to revamp their lighting program and share his experience using lighting control technology.

In this session you will learn:

  • Why LED lighting makes business sense
  • How remote lighting control enhances that business case
  • How it benefits both the utility and your end customers
  • What are important points to address for developing a lighting program
